Personal Reflection
I can consider this professional communication course as a gift from the college, because it came in time that I was looking for a job. I used and lived each part of this course from the beginning till the end.
On September, I started looking for a job and I had simple CV I give it to HR departments. The CV was very poor and unorganized but by this course which came on the right time, I have learnt how to express myself strongly and feel confident that the first look on my CV going to attract any HR manager. One thing I didn't like it when we have been asked to write the name of the company we applied for under the objectives. When I had an interview in AD media company, the accounting manager told me “you are lucky because your GPA and experience works paved you to get the interview, but never put the name of the company you apply for because we consider it as a cheating and pretending that we are the best"
Also, by taking this course I have learnt what to do before and during the interview like, dressing well, coming before the time, answering the tricky questions. I used skills I learnt and I did it in the interview of NBAD, they approved me immediately and I was very happy. Furthermore, the meeting part taught me how to control a group of professionals, manage the meeting, listen to others ideas and discuss each one and making recommendations. The presentation taught me how to talk to audience and focus more about some details was missing to me like pointing, voice volume and eye contact.
In a nutshell, this course was very good, it helped me in many things I need. Also, the time of giving the course to students is perfect because it just before the graduation where many students looking and applying for jobs. I recommend going deep on the part of speaking to audience.
